Psychiatric provider

Description: Provides psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment and recommends services and course of treatment to service providers. 

Position Status: Full or Part Time

Qualifications: An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Must have ability to prescribe medications. Additionally, the ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.

Licensed Required: State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site; Licensed prescriber; Registered with the Drug Enforcement Agency.

Location: Warren or Clinton County area

Medical Assistant

Description: The Medical Assistant is expected to give instructions to patients as instructed by the doctor. The MA has the training and experience in taking blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration. The role of the MA is expected, but not limited to:

  • Assist patients any time need is apparent or as directed by the nurse or physician(s)
  • Assist with any procedures that have been taught through formal training or by licensed nurse or physician(s)
  • Assist in lab procedures under the supervision of physician(s) and for which training has been given.
  • Assist in obtaining Prior Authorization for medications.
  • Keeps medical records in accordance to procedures and forms.
  • Follows principles of medical ethics for medical assistant.
  • Keeps rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies.
  • May be requested to substitute for other office personnel and conduct responsibilities of receptionist/front desk.
  • Any other assigned duties by physician(s) or practice manager.
  • Regard clients with mental illness as persons with dignity and competence and engages them as full collaborators in service delivery.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing periodicals, attending workshops and seminars and participating in committee groups.
  • Keeps accurate records by completing and maintaining required documentation including multidisciplinary assessments and treatment plans.
  • Maintains confidentiality of non-public personnel files, client records and files and other sensitive subject matter.
  • Attends and participates in all team meetings.
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as needed to meet workload demands.

 Qualifications:  Certificate or degree in Medical Assisting or Medical Office Management.
